I found my way into health and fitness in my mid-twenties after years of extreme weight fluctuations—most notably an 80-pound shift during three months of Army basic training, only to rebound once life returned to normal. Every attempt to lose weight became harder, and despite grueling workouts and drastic dieting, results never lasted. Frustrated, I set out to truly understand the science behind sustainable health, leading me to earn my first personal training certification with NASM.
Starting at a big-box gym, I quickly realized most fitness advice only worked short-term—if at all—for many people. That wasn’t good enough. I sought out better answers, found a mentor with two decades of training experience, and immersed myself in education.
